It’s a new political world

Labour has polled ahead of National for the first time in 12 years. It is only one poll and others may differ, but it has shattered a huge psychological barrier. We’re in a new political world. Time to go hard.

Dunne over

On current polling the Nats are going to be short at least one of their puppet parties after the election.

Reid poll

The latest Newshub / Reid poll shows nothing dramatic on the party preference, but has talking points for both left and right on the (largely nonsense) preferred PM question.

Colmar Brunton poll

1 News: “The gap between National and the centre left block of Labour and the Greens has tightened in the wake of John Key’s departure as leader, according to the first major poll since his shock resignation.”

Leftie Kiwis

Received political wisdom is that NZ is a conservative country, tending to the right. Interesting then, to see this data on our voting preferences re American presidential candidates.
