Children: the pandemic has only just begun

I’m always intrigued at the capacity of most humans to be self-delusional in the way that they favour to believe regardless of facts. Nothing else could explain the delusional idiots like David Farrar and his mischievous minions wanting to go back to their business as usual – their ministerial scalp collection. It’d be nice if such dimwits thought and established facts before they wrote.

The end of petrol driven cars

Boris Johnson’s UK Government has announced that by 2035 there will be no more petrol or diesel cars entering the UK fleet.  Is it time for the New Zealand government to announce the same thing?

I agree with Heather

Heather du Plessis Allan has concluded that National was responsible for leaking details about Winston Peters superannuation overpayment.  And believes that it was business as usual for National.

The wonder of e-bikes and e-scooters

The rise of cycleways, e-bikes, and e-scooters is steadily revolutionising commutes around Auckland, especially Central Auckland. Like public transport the economic reasons for commuters are easy to understand. You don’t get ridiculous parking costs or the lousy variable commute times of fat footprint cars jammed up on crowded roads.

Everything is awesome

National is trying to say that everything is fine with Simon Bridges’ leadership, that he has handled the Jami-Lee Ross crisis well and that his leadership is assured. I beg to differ.

Bottom feeding fish

Yesterday the Herald said something stupid about Clarke Gayford, reported his response and then reported at how the country was divided by the article.

Du Plessis-Allan jumps the shark

Heather Du Plessis-Allan has suggested that there is a power struggle happening in the Labour Party.  Without the benefit of things normally considered to be important elements of an argument, those things being facts.

Strong and decisive

Judith Collins has picked on the campaign term strong and decisive for behaviour better described as brutal and obdurate.

The decline of the Herald

Mass redundancies at the Herald have been described as a blood bath and are clearly having an effect on its quality.  Such is its quality there is a question whether the political column this morning was written by a part time travel writer or by Heather du Plessis-Allan.
