So Welly has some covid cases. My heartfelt sympathy to those people and families affected.
But, I cant help but have a wry smile that the welly enemy (pollies and beaurocrats) of all political persuasions aren't having a few butt clenching moments
Yep, all the pollies high tailing it out of Auckland to Wellington before the lock down was announced … gotcha
Tinfoil hat time.
I thought that’s where they live & work!? The House resumes again on Tuesday. Simon Bridges did his infamous long commutes last year during lockdown, remember that? Those were the days, when National still had a Leader, of sorts.
It’s Friday evening … it’s time to do what Frankie said 😉
Frankie went to Hollywood, not Wellywood.
Do you really expect the House to sit on Tuesday? I will be very surprised if it happens while we are at level 4. That will mean that the Government can avoid Question Time and keep all the limelight on itself.
I'll think they will try and get away with it at least.
sigh
Cabinet made the decision today to extend L4 nationwide until Wednesday, at least.
You think they’ll ‘get away with it’, at least, and they shouldn’t?
I don’t recall the House sitting under L4 in 2020, do you?
This might help to refresh your memory: https://www.parliament.nz/en/visit-and-learn/history-and-buildings/parliament-during-covid-19/.
Under L2, only up to 60 MPs were allowed in the Chamber at any time.
Even Cabinet can Teams.
got to feel sorry for anyone who hastily left Auckland on Tuesday heading north to a batch with a boat in tow
hoping they might be able to use it saturday
they will be able to enjoy a further 4 days locked up in their batch
I feel their pain
So now it looks like folks reckon they can play politics with sticking up to 130 people (including staff) into a room in Wellington.
Of course, it plays to the "freedumbs" nutbar fringe. Fuck those guys. At least leave off for a week.
I dont know it's pretty important that collins is on the job , shit what if someone moves a photo with out her permission!!
This whole situation became very real tonight when we were told a grand niece in Sydney has delta covid strain. She is vaccinated.
Keep your loved ones close. Stay safe.
Heh!

The trumpets of the apocalypse?
Looks like it, but she should have parked her car in front of a petrol station to be clearer.
Crikey, that’s what you’d call “a spike”: 27,899 tests over 24 hours.
