Brings back memories..

Still no people.
Simon Bridges- ‘as useful as a fisherman without a pole.”
This photo is deeply significant. Bridges does not like sharing photo ops, being all about him. He is still angling for the top job, but knows nothing about bait. He is however not sympathetic (though he should be) with the trout stuck as it is on a pole and wriggling. He is instead, being in Gore, admiring how the trout is rolling its ‘r’s”.
Tourist. Here for a short time, then gone.
“Everything that comes out of Simon Bridges mouth is fishy”
Try our new navy blue soft baits.
How appropriate that he stands beneath the ‘big trout’ in my home town.
The trout is now a memorial to the five, once world-class, brown trout fishing rivers in Southland.
Rivers that drew anglers from all over the world to fish.
Now? Not much different to open sewers thanks to corporate dairy farming.
Bet Simon thought the trout was a statue of Ms Orivida … with apologies to trout.
What’s he up to? Travelling around the countryside, with n’er another soul in sight! Strange! Could well be he’s preparing to live a solitary life on the back benches, when the knives come out soon!
Simon is just a small fish in a small puddle. All hail plankton!
