Idiot tweet of the day – Collins

Perhaps someone with a lot of patience and a big blue crayon would like to take Collins aside and explain to her that the difference in security measures for a nothing website versus a bank.

idiot-collins

The irony is of course, that the Nats are the only ones seeking the power to investigate all your online transactions.

Collins has been frenetically blundering about on Twitter for a while now, Russell Brown sums up:

Now in the current climate hacking ONLY Nat party websites is exactly what the US internet enterloper entity based at McGill Air Force Base would do. Note that no security or military sites were targetted. Very clever, no damage done to their Nat puppets as nobody visits the sites anyway but great diversionary tactic.

    1. 1.1

Not necessarily diversionary. Could be more along the lines of providing evidence for national to use to push the gcsb bill. Problem-Reaction-Solution.

  2. 2

I’m going with the inside job theory. The Nats manufacture a crisis to justisfy removing civil liberties.

The Jewish threat (Nazi’s) Reds under the bed (McCarthy), terrorists (US/UK…), its just history repeating itself as the controlling and tyrannical seek contrivances to justify their simple lack of humanity and warped pursuit of the illusion of power….

Great response but it assumes she is interested in neither facts nor truth…. it can be awfully inconvenient

Fortunately people are not as stupid as JC needs to believe that are!

This is see through, either did not happen, or was taken down by the admins, or as Adrian says, by the directors in the USA.

NZ can expect much more in this sphere, should the opposition to the GCSB bill grow, as will the so called, hack attacks!

JC is a marvelous woman and is great on twitter, these idiot hackers have just made JKs day. Middle NZ will now ageree we need the rules Nationals implementing.

a minister of Justice whose legal competence was found to be less then that of a convicted and incarcerated felon not once but twice.

Someone who cannot manage the security of her own data, and wants greater use of metadata.

WS MugabKey will be so proud of you!
You think you can shut down dissent think again now we have unlocked cell phones that can’t be traced that can use VPNs mr MoogaaaabKEEEEy will be brought down by his own lies and deception
how many leaks does it take to sink a ship!

Winston, are you trying out for moron of the month or something? Collins is barely literate in her twitterings. And as for needing these rules, are you trying for the top of the winners podium.

Hilarious, the woman’s a dolt but then why is that not surprising…Just look at Brownlee and Bennett, not exactly the brains trust.

“Our PR sites got attacked, so the answer is a total surveillance state for your protection.

I hope the NATs keep running this line. Idiots, all of them.

Bill English was on the radio just now conflating the National Party’s websites with the government, a telling insight to his world view. But it is good to have confirmation that these law changes have got nothing to do with fighting terrorism, and everything to do with suppressing dissent.

    1. 8.2

Bill English stated that no real damage was done, but then said what if it had been IRD or WINZ servers, then it could affect many New Zealanders. This is so obviously an inside job it’s not funny.

I wouldn’t worry about it. She’ll probably accidentally block herself from her twitter account eventually.

There have been quite a few good laughs on t’internets this week, but that tweet from Russel Brown easily wins the prize 😀

The more Labour ignore Judith Collins in the House the more irrelevant She becomes, like a small child the more She is ignored the more erratic She will become…

She’s not the only one. It’s surprising the number of MSM articles that have got it wrong – at least for the first draft:

      http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/politics/8972321/Thousands-join-rally-against-GSCB

      http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/8972305/Dotcom-joins-rally-against-GSCB

And sometimes in the final draft:

      http://www.radionz.co.nz/news/political/132882/pm-justifies-gscb-law-changes

      PM justifies GSCB law changes

      http://www.3news.co.nz/Key-rejects-GSCB-cover-up/tabid/1607/articleID/294414/Default.aspx

      Key rejects GSCB cover-up

      http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/i-had-scramble-gscb-report-released-key-5405510

I had to ‘scramble’ when GSCB report was released – Key

      http://www.nbr.co.nz/article/government-spy-agency-now-defendant-dotcom-case-gb-133587

Court confirms Dotcom can sue GSCB – but clips his wings

Of course they could be referring to:

Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay

      Or
      Global Segment Coordination Body

Sadly, no it isn’t. That, and jonolism, about sums up the MSM these days.

So she has given this bill so little scrutiny and attention, as minister of justice, that its name doesnt even roll off the keyboard.

Isnt is gcsb not gscb? Arent lawyers trained in attention to detail.

Is she saying the gcsb might as well have our info because hackers can get it anyway?

Collins being an ex tax lawyer, when it comes to future snooping, a policy that the IRD could adopt could be rounding up the tax evaders.

The GCSB bill has endless revenue gathering potential.
