David is delayed

This is David.

He is a Member of Parliament only because National lets him be one.

After something really bad happened and everyone wanted to change the law except for a small group of military style semi automatic weapon gun nuts David decided to support the gun nuts.

He also hates virtue signalling.

Although he thought that he would virtue signal by standing up in Parliament and saying “yes” when speaker Trevor Mallard asked if there was any objection to the law against very bad guns being passed quickly.

But he turned up late and was not able to say “yes” at the right time.

Because he was talking to reporters about how he was going to virtue signal by opposing the law against the very bad guns because it was being passed too quickly.

He then blamed the Government for not letting him say “yes” at the time he was meant to be in Parliament but was instead talking to reporters.

And twitter had lots of laughs at David’s expense.

And if you want to make David Seymour even more embarrassed make sure you make a submission supporting the law banning very bad guns.

But don’t be like David.  Don’t be late.  Submissions close tomorrow evening when the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 6.

What does one say!!!! Well two things. A small request, can we please not see the picture of Seymour twerking again. I would put that in the category of obectional content……………also re making a submission, is it important to do this? I have signed two recent petitions about this. Thought a submission my slow the process down?
Happy to be guided on this. Willing to do anything that helps……….

It did cross my mind that Seymour can make much of needing to say “Yes” while “accidentally missing the vote. Is he clever enough to have his cake and eating it too?

I’ve met the guy. I can assure you he’s not bright enough to engineer that, but easily dim enough to claim victory for it.

Mission accomplished: political relevance and public attention, all without breaking into a twerk.

To me it looks that way. David is no ‘emotional junior staffer’ and he does what it takes. Do you think he needs a new watch?

Nope. I don’t think he had any idea what was going on in the house. He was just preening in front of the media. If that sort of pimping gets his party vote from 0.4% up to 0.7% where it was at the last election he’ll be doing well.

Actually, I wondered about that. Being late would be an easy out if he’d agreed to to object and then changed his mind…
