Lead story on TV3's 6 pm news (on TV, not yet on website):

Luxon flounders when challenged on National's use of AI in their ads.

The real problem is not so much the misleading ads (it's National, it's what they do), but the leader being clueless. Nobody tells him anything, apparently. It's almost as though the Nat staffers are deliberately undermining their leader, to make him look bad … now why would they do that?

Nats and Luxon, the gift that just keeps on giving. “ Trust us , we don’t lie, it’s the AI. “.

It really is a fuck up a week. Keep it up youse guys.

Indeed, National cannot be trusted and it appears National cannot trust Luxon. At least they now have an excuse for their next shambles; instead of blaming an ‘emotional junior staffer’ they can now blame it on ChatGPT having a hissy. I feel for the chatbots working for National.

Edit: by Golly, this is bigger than ripping off Eminem.
