This analysis from Fairfax examining why Turnbull and the Liberal Party got it so wrong in Western Sydney is interesting, especially the bit about the faulty polling. It’s looking more and more likely voters are getting very resistant to being constantly polled and have either stopped picking up or are even outright lying to the pollsters.

Polling, constant choices about which side we take, whether it’s on “the block” the “bachelorette” or a flag….same in US, Trump or Clinton? And in UK, Europe or Brexit?, Corbyn or Blairites? etc, etc”…….all about division, and being ruled?

There has been talk for a few days of some internal maneuvering in UKIP but it’s hard to argue with his view that he has achieved his major political goal and without ever having to win a General Election.
