Every now and then politics takes a back seat.

Our first son turned 60 today. He said these next 5 years are his hardest to navigate., and he is looking forward to retiring.

We understand. We personally finished work at 60, let our unit for 5 years, while we travelled in a 6 berth Maui Motorhome.

Some thought we were mad, others were inspired to do similar. We have marvellous memories of those times.

Lol the diary said we spent 87 dollars on groceries for the fortnight. So glad we did that.

      cool story Patricia.

it was a great injustice raising the superannuation age.

Back in the day a few people retired before the age of 60 because they could get government super before then. In the 1990's that would have moved from before age 60-65.

You'd have to wonder how many pro-Israel voices work for the Israeli govt.

    .

In a meeting dedicated to harnessing pro-Israel media energy on Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu alluded to a cohort of Israel’s influencers. “We have to fight back. How do we fight back? Our influencers. I think you should also talk to them if you have a chance, to that community, they are very important.”

Being paid by Israel to post on social media is also very lucrative. According to previously unreported recent documents, these influencers are likely being paid around $7,000 per post on social media such as Tik Tok and Instagram on behalf of Israel.

Mapping the war crimes of a terror state.

.On September 28, 2024, Anastasia Pavlenko, a 23-year-old mother of two, was cycling to an appointment in the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine, near the front line with Russian forces, when she saw a drone take off from the roof of a house and start to follow her. The drone tracked Pavlenko for nearly 300 meters. As she approached the Antonivka Bridge, the drone dropped a munition, which struck the ground nearby and exploded, injuring her in the neck, leg, and rib. In shock, Pavlenko continued on her bike toward the underpass, covered in blood and with flat tires, she later recalled.

    Human Safari

Everyday, Russian drones terrorise the civilians of Kherson. The city of Kherson, with its current population of approximately 71,000 civilians, is split by the Dnipro River. Russian troops hold positions south of the river while civilians inhabit the city to the North.

Russian troops perpetrate the Human Safari by launching drones into north Kherson – indiscriminately hunting, maiming and killing civilians. The Russians' deliberate attempt to spread fear and test the resolve of the remaining population targets the most vulnerable – many of whom are elderly and without the ability to relocate.

These war crimes have been ongoing since 2023, resulting in over 3000 casualties to date, with no sign of relenting.
