The line up looks fresh faced, varied, impressive. (The leader has a good name, Victor Billot) and he is presumably a man with wide working experience as he is from the Maritime Union.
Like the Alliance.
Unfortunately, they've yet to make much media headway. Thus, aren't polling well.
That is what I thought too. Two, yes two, chocolate fish for something attention grabbing likely to convey a favourable understanding of them! They deserve better than being in the shadow of issues like Arkady and AI – 16 comments he drew today. We need to keep our path clear to the election and then we can extend.
Yes, they will need to push press releases retaining to the headlines, topics of the day and of great public concern. While also making far more use of social media.
Further, speaking to major interest groups such as Grey Power other Unions etc
In totally unshocking news, the leader National MPs kept in his job decides to continue being the leader that he was before.
More barbs directed at National's natural friends, this time it's the defence industry.

Who’s paying the cancellation fees? The NZ taxpayers, I assume. Winston Peters and Nicky-No-Boats would argue that it would save the country money by cancelling.

I am getting very tired of the common use of 'fucking' used freely over regular tech from US. I don't listen to it purposely but hear it from an associate's machine. The use of language seems to be quite skew-wiff as the saying goes.
If you look beyond the headline to the full story you'll see that the process worked as it should.
An immediate apology would have cost nothing. But there wasn't one.
It seems to me observer that you win the two chocolate fish.
What if I called someone in Alliance, or something they put forward, as 'g.y' then they could object to the authority, and that would be reported I should think.
Then I could put my foot in my mouth again and say that it sounds as if the Alliance leader is open to being greeted by some loudmouth pollies with the song 'What will we to do with the drunken sailor'.
Then the Maritime Union could reply tersely and announce what they want to do about keeping coastal shipping in NZ hands and think we should have a national trust for shipping and rail set up. The public would make donations, and some would buy bonds or similar. This would be separate from government or any shipping or other major business.
From the trust they would buy or lease some basic but reliable ferries that take rail and some heavy trucks as first priority then cars in space available, as well as having adequate places for passengers. There would be snacks and drinks and a movie for the children, and a nature movie, and plugins to music from your own headphones. NZs or music groups would be able to busk.
Then the Alliance Party would get more coverage through working with teens and having discussions -teens and adults, aiming to connect with young adults. There would be tv discussions replying to questions put forward by young people, and discussing possibilities and the viability of different applications and measures about education, handling sea rise. weather change; holding summer school courses to inform large numbers of the young about the future and how to help themselves and edge out uncaring people who can't cope with loss to themselves, only others!
Well these are some ideas for Alliance built on what seems to hold people's attention; the latest aggravation that gets the public itching!
