The Verian poll last night:
Lab 28.8 Gre 16.4 TPM 0.4 =45.6 (Seats 59*)
Nat 29.5 ACT 10.0 NZF 8.4 =47.9 (Seats 58**)
Opp 6.2 (Seats 7)
*conservatively assuming a Maori seat overhang of 4 seats…may well be 5
**assuming no National Party overhang. On these poll numbers an overhang is unlikly
Opp still have the balance of power. In theory they would negotiate with Labour first because they have said they will negotiate with the grouping who have most seats.
Verian is the poll that had the Nats 5 points ahead of Labour two weeks ago. Now the gap is 0.7. The Greens are on a roll.
