This is a post to highlight any news during the election day up to 7pm.
If you’re after a place to vote – then you should look at the Vote NZ polling booth page where they allow you to put in electorate, optional suburb and if the polling place is accessible for the disabled and elderly. There is also a drill down map.
If you have transport issues getting to a polling place, then there are a range of options on this Vote NZ page about how to vote anyway including remote voting and voting over the phone.
But do vote! Not voting means that you effectively voted for whomever winds up forming the government – so complaining about the result after the fact is simply stupidity and your own damn fault.
