Hmmm, that gives me an idea for a local version…National slump in polls continues – Key replaced as leader (dated February 2010)

“Standard Congratulates Key and Maori Party on Historic Agreement”

Watch out, this could be like a tennis match … you serve, I return serve and on and on and on.

That was an impressive spoof nonetheless.

It’s “would have”, Brett, not “would of”. Anyway, who appointed you spokesman for the families of loved ones over in Iraq? Oh, no one? Then stop being so bloody PC.

    Daveski,

How about: “Tane, SP and lprent congratulate Key, National on election victory”? 😉

captcha: nowadays Europe (ahhh, socialism comes to the US)

Can’t wait to see the headlines later today/tomorrow with the National/ACT reaction to Rickards getting a practising certificate…

After the previous thread, at least some humour to lift things.

I liked Tane’s comments elsewhere about the Korean Democratic Republic too

The fake NYT site seems to have collapsed. Or been taken down. Hopefully the real NYT’s lawyers aren’t playing nasty.

Didn’t like that “Public relations industry starts to shut down” headline much… there aren’t many transferable skills I could bring to other professions. Is there much call for a 900 number providing excuses why you’ll be home late when you’re actually at the pub, maybe?

I was hoping it’d be balanced in the “Lobbyists are citizens too” article but now I can’t read it. Bah!!

I like this fake headline game…

“NZ survives full moon without crime wave: Annette King demands return to Julian calendar”

“Goff ‘cannot recall’ being in Cabinet with Douglas: ‘It couldn’t be him, the guy I knew had a moustache”

“Labour commits to fighting ‘anti-democratic’ EFA; demands to inquiry to find those responsible”

“Ron Mark demands tougher line on unemployment beneficiaries; denies this is an attempt to jump to front of queue”

“Peters maintains denials of selling influence; leaves Parliament in diamond encrusted gold coach drawn by six white racehorses”

    😀
