      seems consistent with the other covid economic exemptions. Also reflects our long standing immigration policy, where super rich people get to buy their way into NZ. Economic benefit and all that.

    Hearing some very disturbing accounts of voter fraud in the US election (at this point ignoring anything Trump is saying and especially ignoring any MSM).

    I can see some States refusing to acknowledge the election results in the future, and possibly a reversal of the winner if that is even possible. #prayforcalm

    So greatful to be living in NZ where elections are still sane.

      Where are you hearing these stories of… disturbing accounts of voter fraud and which side is claimed to be responsible – Dems or Repugs?

      If its social media I would take the claims with a smidgen of salt for the time being.

        Thanks for your response. I got it from Newsmax via their YT which does have a Republican bias. Some other stuff is coming in via different channels but that's the one that seems most credible (my opinion).

        I think I failed to make a key point, that is that people seem to believe the reports of fraud to be true.

        Registering citizens to vote or to obtain mail ballots without their consent is illegal. It is particularly offensive when individuals purport to be champions for disability rights, when in reality they are abusing our most vulnerable citizens in order to gain access to their ballots and amplify their own political voice.

          Not exactly the millions of illegal ballots people are worried about, but enough for "project veritas" to help dolt45 out with their program of stochastic terrorism.

              For this year to be different would be a massive switch, and frankly there's no indication it's happening on any result-changing scale.

              And, frankly, who would be more likely to go into a coordinated system of voter fraud – the dems, or the party that has openly worked to suppress the vote and redistrict electoral lines to their advantage?

        21,000 dead people on the roll says Giuliani. A crime but only if those dead people actually voted. For the Roll to have not been updated for the Election is not Fraud. But to the unwashed "21,000 dead people have swayed the vote!" sounds good.

          Giuliani is wrong, there’s at least 400,000 dead people on the roll as about2.8 mill die each year in the states so two months of eligible voters who have died would be about that number. Bloody dead election stealers.

    This is a choir drawn from two different police districts in England. Maybe we could foster good spirit in our police with the same.

    The last line – 'So that we may endure to the last'. This applies here only to the strong and committed with their eyes on a higher goal than just getting well-paid jobs and money themselves, to live a personal comfortable life.

    This is followed by the Welsh National Anthem. They have managed to hold onto their culture, and keep a national spirit that's good, often through singing together. We should follow their lead; a small nation overwhelmed by a bigger, bullying one yet they keep faith.

    Out of all this turmoil and cliff hanging US election a new saying has been created. The Philadelphia Mayor has told Trump "to put on his big boy pants…..". I can see this becoming a new phrase when somebody male is acting like a 2 year old and having tantrums. Love it.

    Apparently Michael Woodhouse is considering a bid for deputy leader of the National Party. Looks as though, rather than renewal, the party is going for same old same old.

    Collins and her deep involvement in Dirty Politics. And now Woodhouse and his appalling involvement in the Boag data leak at the beginning of the Covid lockdown.

    Keep it up National.

    Is anyone offering odds on a Luxon bid for the leadership pretty soon.

    Well today, Trump is trying to bully his way into 4 more years as President

    and

    Woodhouse is trying to slither into the Deputy Leadership of the National Party.

    Such upstanding examples… sarc.
