    TPP and misleading charts

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has worked hard in recent years to help draft and adopt the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a trade deal between 12 major economies on the Pacific Ocean, including the U.S., Japan, Chile, New Zealand and Australia. It’s understandable that the USTR would want to promote the economic benefits of the agreement, but the agency published a series of misleading charts on Twitter to help make its case.

Teachers might find these misleading graphs in link above very useful examples for “what is wrong with these graphs?

But surely you aren’t going to believe anything you read in that paper?
The Wall Street Journal is owned by that truly evil (at least in Lefty eyes) Rupert Murdoch.
Probably the only man in the world who genuinely wants to keep great newspapers going, isn’t he?

That’s rich coming from you, Alwyn, who spends so much of your time on what you consider a leftie commie blog.

Have you never read “The Art Of War”?
When Sun Tzu wrote (paraphrasing) “know yourself, know your enemy, and you shall win a hundred battles without loss,” I took it to heart. Thus I look at what is written here.
Not that I really consider the people who comment here as the enemy. I just think that many of them are deluded.

Sometime I hope that there may be one among you who will use the words in the bible and say about me “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness” and I will be content.
The people who wrote the bible really did get carried away didn’t they?

I work for the Timeo company, strongly related to business in UK. And I must say one thing: if private businesses were using strategies similar to one of TPPA program, I would have half the work to do, as they many of those would go bankrupt.

And a the gift of a free “abbatoir” to Saudill Arabia at the cost of several million the NZ taxpayer?

    You’ve gotta be kidding me.

But wait . . . maybe hopefully it includes a noose for some of their local despots to try out on themselves.

Or would that be too much to ask (let alone post here)?
