    Anyone see the state house item on Seven Sharp? Basically a story of two poor kids who now wear suits, became high achievers and now have a street named after them in a new state housing area. Just great… apart from there was no mention of the massive state house sell off by this government. So there will be less and less opportunity for disadvantaged kids to make good. In some of the revamped state housing areas I know of only 20% of the state housing will remain, the rest are privatised. A good propaganda piece.

        Thanks Rosemary, obviously this story still has some legs yet. When one of them becomes PM we can look back at where they came from…

        It really depends on whether they remember where they come from, and are not going to simply do what most people in their shoes do and run down poor people.

          Some do Millsy . A lot do not,they seem to be ashamed of their begingings ‘
          However some very succesfull people certainly remember where they came from. The Gershwin;s , Charlie Chaplin and Enrico Caruso never forgot and I could name many more .Unfortunatly there are many nasties who forget where they came from .
