I foresee Wishart will be hearing from m’learned friends in the near future.

If the Fair Trade people are short on the dosh for lawyers, I’d be happy to chip in…

It’s possible they’ve both just used the same stock photo. But it’d be interesting to hear what the explanation is.

I think he’s on the right side of the law. People have been painting the earth on faces for a long time. Very derivative though.

    Luke,

Thanks for stopping this insanity. I’ve used this iStock image in my work.

Was it iStock whence Labour got its image of a “typical Kiwi family” for campaign material? Just cropped out the American flag, if memory serves me correctly.

If it is true that you can judge a book by its cover – it is certainly the case here! There is nothing original on the cover, and there certainly isn’t anything original in the book – its all cribbed from skeptic publications/websites – some of it even regurgitated without acknowledgment. Investigative journalist! BAH!!

Really BLiP? Last time I read the link he’d quoted a paper from Science that directly contradicts the knowledge of Gareth. How is that “Wishart science fiction”?

Couldn’t wishart afford the services of a good illustrator?

Especially since he reminds us of how his books become such great sellers.

Using generic photography lessens the impact, and the relevance of cover vis a vis text.
