Trans Tasman make fools of themselves with MP “rankings”

There’s a rubbish publication called “Trans Tasman” which gets some attention once a year when it publishes a Roll Call – “rankings” of MPs. These rankings are pretty much always blue-tinted nonsense. But this year Trans Tasman have really made fools of themselves. Here’s some of the reaction…

Seems many of the views expressed are in line with David Farrar with the exception of the David Seymour ranking. If people don’t rate David Seymour as the top ranked MP who was beeter instead?

Seymour likes the Coq, we know that much. Are public gaffs from new and wet-behind-the ears mps the criteria TT uses for it’s rankings?

Also, watch for Farrar’s inevitable “analysis” of the results. Should be a hoot…

…if you enjoy cripplingly boring hoots.

Fanboy wipes his tears from his eyes as he seeks a beeter MP for the top award. Mike Sabin perhaps could be seen as beeter?

I won’t comment on the rankings, but Seymour is a good performer, in and out of Parliament. I particularly like the irony he brings to many of his questions in QT. I’m not an ACT voter, but he’s doing well IMHO.

As seen from inside the Beltway, I’m sure TT’s rankings are about right. They also probably reflect the view from Auckland boardrooms, too. And they are the only people who matter, aren’t they?

To be fair, electorates are so irrelevant to national-level politics in general that the only ones even political nerds should be expected to know about are lifeboat electorates and ones having by-elections.
