And now for something slightly different. Today there will be a sand sculpture competition at Whatipu on Auckland’s West Coast. It is part of the annual seaweek event where aspects of our marine environment and threats to it are highlighted. If you are in Auckland take a trip out and have a look.
Those dolphins are amazing. I could hardly get sand tipped out of a bucket to keep its shape. If I were still in Aotearoa, I would have gone to this.
Looks cool, but I went to the “Ark in the Park” event put on by Forest and Bird today. Would love to go visit Whatipu one day
