Don’t forget to be kind to each other …
They've released footage of the Whangārei Hospital car park fire,
https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/577448/watch-the-moment-a-dramatic-blaze-ignites-in-whangarei-hospital-s-carpark
You never know what is happening for people or what their bodies can do, but the start of that fire when the ute drives away, looks like it could have been stopped if someone had tried.
Thanks for that.
I had tea with brother and sister in law. They must consume a lot of social media because they were in full denial mode it was an ICE that caused the fire.
'..it had been raining, the grass was wet' 'Ive tried to burn grass on an exhaust pipe and it wont burn' '..it's just a narrative..'.
If it wasn't my Mum's birthday I could see myself inflaming things by saying "Cookers gotta cook!'.
I've sent a link to him.
happy birthday to your mum! I'll be curious how your brother/sister in law respond to the video.
Gotta wonder what the hospital security were up to at the time.
and why the grass was so long on the gutter.
"and why the grass was so long on the gutter."
Ask Me. Ask Me.
I know.
The grass is long be cause hospitals no longer employ grounds staff. Locals that have pride in their hospital and the hospital's appearance.
Hospitals sub contract that work.
In short, neo-liberalism.
what's the contractor's excuse?
This is what you'd expect in Central Otago in February, not Whangarain. Although with that sort of fire load, once it gets going it's going to be big. But still the response time was pretty slack, that fire would have been visible from a long distance from quite early, and a big column by the end of the video, and it burnt a lot more before it was finally put out.
