Its a screen grab from newstalk zb. The story was taken down soon after for reasons I am not sure of …

      1. 1.1.2

It was taken down so that it could be changed to read the opposite. They took the authors name off it, Alicia, then re-posted it, with the new words, by the RNZ staff. The new version actually says the opposite! How blatant does this regime have to be before the country wakes up.

That must be why hoskings had two attack pieces in the herald today on Little the nats are starting to panic.

intrigued they used black – i would have thought white would heat the water less.

Anyway, my reading of the links in the articlessuggests that the balls cost $34M and were actually $250M less than an alternative proposal. And that they are to reduce the extent of chemical treatment of the municipal water supply.

It does seem a bit odd.

Looking at their emphasis on reducing water treatment, and that the guy got the idea from a similar practise used on ponds near airports, and the effects of drought, I suspect that the balls were mainly to stop large flocks of birds concentrating (and crapping) in the reservoir as other waterways dry up. But “unacceptable levels of birdshit in the water” isn’t a very nice thing to say, lol.

Bomber Bradbury is about to be visited by the police. It appears to be in response to a post by john Minto encouraging ‘acts of civil disobedience’ on Talley products in the supermarket. I have the impression Minto’s post is a bit tongue in cheek, but it’s my guess Talley has laid a complaint.

I wonder how many of us have come under the scrutiny of the police intelligence wing on behalf of government ministers/agencies and their corporate/business mates?

Who Are the Biggest Killers in America? The Numbers Will Shock You

“If it takes you an hour to read this chapter, by the time you reach the last page, two of your fellow citizens will have been murdered. During that same time, more than six Americans will die as a result of unhealthy or unsafe conditions in the workplace. Although these work- related deaths were due to human actions, they are not called murders. Why not? Doesn’t a crime by any other name still cause misery and suffering? What’s in a name?”

It’s a good point and I’m sure that the stats would be similar in NZ.

In a comment on the post, ‘Corbyn and the Overton Window’ a mention was made of a British political drama, ‘A Very British Coup’”

I googled to see if it was available on You Tube. I was able to find two brief parts, about 12 minutes.

Here are the parts I found:

    Part 1 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXGTMfqMRSE
    Part 2 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJ-t-yTTvno

Very interesting! Wish I could watch the whole thing.

Dirty politics in action against a Labour leader. Have any of you seen it?

What would be easy to have on hand is wiring under the table ready so that a good quality recorder could be slid in at the PMs choice. So if that was recorded and played back at various venues, would the situation be turned around? Nullified?
