    Ian Powell on Simeon Brown’s hostile takeover of the Medical Council and the suspicious role of the Free Speech Union (FSU) in this and other current events that all stink to high heaven.

    In this post I focus on the hypocrisy and political tactics of the FSU. Regardless of its name, an organisation that attacks an investigative journalist [Anrea Vance] for investigating a subject that is contrary to the organisation’s political ideology is itself an opponent of free speech.

    Instead it is nothing more than a mask for hard-rightwing trolls. But now an opportunity presents itself for FSU to partly (ever so slightly) redeem itself.

    Bomber Bradbury is not noted for quietness. In fact, few can surpass him for noise. But now something has; the deafening silence of the Free Speech Union over this nasty threat to free speech makes the editor of The Daily Blog mute by comparison.

    Why is this so? Is it simply because the FSU is a hard rightwing troll organisation? Or is it something even more sinister? Just asking!

    Obviously, Simeon Brown reached out and got into contact with the FSU immediately when his office received questions from Andrea Vance.

    How odd! Parliament is sovereign and the Coalition Ministers ignore or go against advice whenever it suits them, so the conclusion is obvious: they’re stalling and not acting in genuine good faith.

    The Left down 1 but the Right down 2 since the last RM poll.

    Under this poll Opp would almost certainly put the CoC back in government. Good to see the racists falling.
