Why wouldn’t he, he’s done SFA and been paid at one point 2 salaries (akl council and an MP), he probably expects to ride this gravy train till he gets a full parliamentary pension.

He’d be looking around at McCully, Williamson, brownlee etc and thinking that’s all I have to beat.

Over this last week, is the first time I remember hearing anything from Sam Lotu-Iiga as an MP. Think I know why now.

I remember Sam on the news when that murdering peado Phillip Smith escaped to Brazil, I wasn’t impressed with him then either.

The mystery is why Tolley, who isnt the freshest cream on the scones, did fairly well in this portfolio, while lotu-Iiga who has a wardrobe of degrees in finance cant find his way out of a paper bag ?

You would think it would be him as an understudy for Bill English rather than the Shirley Bassey look a like Paula Bennett ?

Tolley sat back while others rolled out the changes that Sammy is fronting the impacts from and with our owned MSM never faces any decent questioning anyway.

After her shambolic stint as education minister she’s well marshalled by minders and now in a very nat friendly portfolio…NZ Police.

Bloody good work from Mahesh Bindra I thought to take the questions that had already been put to Lotu-liga and then nail him to the wall.

It was the parliamentary equivalent of the winger scoring in the corner after the ball has gone through many pairs of hands. With a bit more of this sort of teamwork the opposition could actually hold the government to account.

SERCO contract could have been cancelled earlier

“We already know about four Performance Notices in 2012, and at least two last year, so the question for the Minister is: were any Final Warnings issued as per the contract and if not, why not?

“It is starting to look like Corrections was letting SERCO off the hook to protect National’s failed experiments in private prisons.

It’s certainly looking like National has been actively protecting SERCO.

I was going to ask the same question. I think he will have to go if the Government has any sense… left.
