Remember when the Police chose a photo of Scott Watson for id purposes. The photo had Scott in the middle of a blink and made him look pretty shady.
This pic above has done the same to Bill.

California to list glyphosate as cancer-causing; Monsanto vows fight

The listing is the latest legal setback for the seeds and chemicals company, which has faced increasing litigation over glyphosate since the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer said that it is “probably carcinogenic” in a controversial ruling in 2015.

Obviously, Monsanto also considers people to be weeds.

When an organisation like WHO comes up with a ruling like that then I expect the companies, if they had any ethics at all, that make it to voluntarily to remove it. Fighting the decision of governments acting for their citizens is just proof that they don’t have the necessary ethics and should be shut down immediately with no compensation.

I hope the NZ government has banned it but, with National in power, I doubt it.

In our current global regime, for those inside the ‘club’, all the rest of us people ARE weeds to be stifled and killed; or cattle, to be farmed for our labour and taxes.

The IARC lists a huge range of harmless things as “probably carcinogenic,” which they quite possibly are if you take them in sufficiently large quantities. In itself, it means nothing – what counts is the level of risk at what dose, which isn’t the IARC’s job to figure out.

New $1.8bn road for Auckland is not a ‘motorway’

“It is more than just a connection. It is also what is on the side of the road that makes people pause and feel like there is some interaction between them and the traffic on the road,” Muilligan said.

    /facepalm

Really, some people are just really fucken stupid.

Interacting with the traffic streaming past is generally considered a Bad Thing™ and nobody actually likes looking at roads or cars.

      Spot on Draco.

What he should’ve said is it’s important that something aside from the industrial activity it’s crawling past is there to look at.

Whatever it ends up like it’ll be full of trucks, thanks national.

    2. 4.2

There really is nothing like going on a nature walk by the sea on a beautiful day and hearing the thumps of trucks jolting the road behind you or knowing there’s four lanes of people in noisy containers that don’t give a fuck about you nearby.

Its been interesting to see the divisions in the National Party becoming public. Clutha-Southland obviously has massive problems and has done for some time even under John Key’s united National Party banner.

Another schism has opened up now and that is in the blogosphere. The two main Dirty Politics blogs, Kiwiblog and Whale Oil are now in open warfare. For so long these two serviced the the current government’s needs and seemed to work as a team. Now, the extreme factional bitterness which only RWNJs can harbour is bubbling to the surface.

Good times ahead because it seems the National Party hates itself.

David Farrar very deliberately introduced “drug dealing’ into the discussion.

He seems to have a persona of a ‘respectable’ political commentator. RadioNZ even has him on commenting on issues. (Ironically most of the brainless on his blog think that everything on that station is leftist propaganda.)

Commentators like Slater are easy to pigeon hole and dismiss – their bizarre behaviour, unfathomed stupidity and rabidity set them apart.

Farrar though is in a supposedly serious business and presents as a normal human being. If conniving were an art, he’d be Michelangelo, if propagandising were money he’d be a zillionaire. And if he tried to enrol in an eel farm they wouldn’t take him – he’s too slippery.

    1. 8.1

He is always introduced as a “pollster” on The Panel, where it should be “National Party pollster”.
