yes A distraction while NAct line up public asset sales and privatisation opportunities.

Cartoon depicts National Party leader Christopher [Luxury] Luxon leaning on a large book titled 'National Party crime fighting policies through the ages'. He appeals to three people in front of him, saying "Does anyone know CPR?". Caption reads: "Banning gang patches in public". https://natlib.govt.nz/records/53329822

The government should start supplying/trialling a service to women to catch people using tracking devices before the legislation comes into effect.

A few us made submissions about the use of tech (more than covered in the article).

Thirty years too late for me SPC.

In my case it was covert. I was covertly stalked. Someone covertly broke into my home several times and on two occasions left cryptic covert messages behind. My car was vandalised three times. A pet dog had her leg broken in strange circumstances. The vet told me it was not an accident. A pet cat was found dead in equally strange circumstances. False accusations were anonymously levelled about me to people in high places, resulting in me being investigated and put under a period of surveillance. Yet another fascinating story.

For years I had no idea who the culprit was. I approached the police on multiple occasions but they did nothing. It turned out to be a woman who was – to put it nicely – out of her tiny mind. How I came to discover the truth is a fascinating story in itself. I returned to the police again and this time being able to name someone, I expected action. Instead I received a phone-call from a constable who said:

… it 's one of those he said/she said things, so there's nothing we can do about it".

To say I was red and blue in the face with rage is an understatement but kept my counsel.

The police will never be forgiven by me for such an appalling response to a victim of serious criminal activity. She had the potential to not just confine her physical violence to my pets but could have chosen at any time to include me as well. I was not her only victim either.

She was a malignant narcissist, amongst other things, but clever at disguising it.
