Poll: Greens surge to best result ever as National, Labour slide further
As always, the trend is more informative than the headline numbers. Obviously bad for both Labour and National, but the underlying story is that Opportunity are not eating into the Greens' support, as some on the left feared. As Opp get established in the public mind as a 5% party, then the coalition government has nowhere to go. In turn that leads to more internal bickering (we've seen plenty today).
The Greens have shown the discipline that the 3 parties on the right lack. Quite the irony there.
