CYF massively underfunded

National pays electoral homage to our vulnerable children. They talk a big game about putting “the needs of our most vulnerable children and families at the centre of decisions”. Their actions tell a different story – of under-funding at CYF and falling numbers of social workers.

Todd McClay gets thrown under a bus

John Key has thrown Todd McClay under a bus and blamed him for dancing on the head of a pin and for no one telling Key that our second major trading nation wanted to dump sub standard steel on the local market.

The site runs on a financial donated shoestring and a lot of volunteered time in technical and writing skills.

Climate change and trees – a palliative and not a solution

One alleviation for the effects of climate change is to plant trees, or some other form of vegetation. This is to suck up surplus carbon dioxide and to put it into a solid and relatively inert form. And it does. However it simply won’t work when we have rapid climate change.
