Happy Birthday lprent!

Happy 50th lprent!

Now here’s someone Russel Norman could legitimately call grey 😉

But seriously, Lynn is a baby-boomer, one of those generation born with a golden spoon who enjoyed a free education while lumbering my generation with debt. A generation who are now further stealing from mine by refusing to pay for their own retirement.

So Happy Birthday Lynn, and enjoy your low taxes and other luxuries before the gen Y’s take power and return some favours (one idea I have heard floating around from another gen Y is that we should instill a ‘special tax’ on all over 50’s).

– Rochelle Rees

PS. Congratulations Nana & Grandad for still being around 50 years after your creation 🙂

PPS. Yes Lynn, I did steal borrow your login to make this post!

Ummmmmm (grmmmph). Not to mention bah humbug.. I’ve been Gilchristed

Bloody hard to keep Rochelle out of my systems. She has been all over them since she was puking at both ends and beaming satisfaction at the feat – and thumping spare keyboard for play. Guess she figured out the password. I will fix that. And remove the cached browser passwords on a home server that she has access to.

What is amusing about this is that I can remember saying the almost identical things (with varying details) to my parents in the early 80’s.

addendum: Lynn.. do you know if your host is running on IPv6.. or the same old IPv4..?

      1. 9.1.1

I’d guess IPv6 (and of course IPv4 inside) – that is how my linux boxes at home operate. But I’ll check when I get home and can get into a console.

Offhand I can’t think of an easy way to tell from outside.
