Zilch for that many million is a considerable under-achievement no matter which way you look at it. All the moaning about the previous govt's lack of delivery pales in comparison! As one of the moaners at the time, I'm inclined to suspect the problem is neither the political left or right: it is the privilege system, designed in the 19th to avoid public accountability of officials. So though I share Winston's itchy trigger finger on the issue, blaming the guilty won't fix the problem. It remains institutionalised.

If only Brown had decided not to renew those appointments without shooting off his mouth about ‘ideology’, far fewer people would be upset about it. It shows that his own ideology got the better of him.

What a moronic response! So, because of Medicard loaded with 3 free GP visits, the wealthy & sorted and 1,710 ultra-high-net-worth individuals (i.e., someone with a net worth of ≥ US$30 million) in NZ will cause a stampede to ‘clog up’ access to GPs!? And take up all free car parks at the medical centres with their limos?

The Coalition has a strong ideological aversion to anything universal and for the common good; their ideology dictates a targeted user-pays approach and if the user can’t pay in full, it’s to provide a minimal state-subsidy to that user under a strict & stringent means-testing regime (partly because those users cannot be fully trusted). Such regime is (more) costly to run, which is why the Coalition has an instinctive reluctance to it and why they’re embracing automated tools. The risk here is mission creep and loss of accountability.

When you rush legislating, you’ll get shoddy legislation. Once or twice might be just incompetence and/or over-worked public servants, but multiple times sets a pattern that’s deliberate.

The ‘thousand-dollar woman’ Louise Upston blames the Opposition, which is an insult to the intelligence of anybody who can read English.
It’s definitely a pattern of deliberately and intentionally avoiding scrutiny and pushing on with ideological decisions despite or in spite of evidence (if any).

The Opposition doesn’t need to come up with major and/or transformative policies, as they’ll have their hands full in trying to clean up the pile of stinking shit left behind the Coalition of Crappers. I’m sure the Opposition will be able to come up with a suitable slogan, e.g., Cleaning up NZ for All New Zealanders or something even more pointy.
IMO NACT1 early on adopted the move fast and break things model. And also, IMO, much of it was pre planned. The network they were shilling for was Atlas inc and friends, as exposed by Mountain Tui.
When searching up more on MFABT I was kinda surprised to see some business advisors with a different perspective on …but the conclusion, was the same : Bad Idea.

RadioNZ was no longer the accepted form for its name – became RNZ. Now the simple organised way for presenting their news over the internet has changed. Everything is sorted across the screen magazine-like for your assistance. I am inclined to give them assistance where it hurts. Leave things alone you itchy drug-aggravated people. What drug? – the tech-inflamed are affected by modern thinking like a drug. It also has happened to The Daily Blog.
Can anyone suggest a site that presents the daily news reporting in a linear vertical way without hype? I already use Scoop which I appreciate. I will have a look at ODT. I am looking for a site owned and run by Kiwis by the way.
