I watch TV3 News (I have done ever since it came into being back in 1989, for what it's worth). Each night it has a item on what is happening in Gaza and the absolute carnage which the IDF is perpetrating on the people trying to exist there. I also wonder if Juliet Moses (she's the President of the N Z Jewish Council) ever watches the 6pm news from either TV1 or TV3 (I'm not sure what coverage TV1 gives to the situation in Israel/Gaza) and what she thinks of what is happening in Gaza on a daily basis. I find it heartbreaking to view the devastation and carnage happening to (especially) the children and their parents, the hospitals endeavouring to care for the injured who are transported there by any means possible, the doctors and nurses tending these patients. I read each day of doctors, surgeons and specialists being murdered while trying to care for these people. Juliet never seems to have anything to say about these news items – is she ever asked for her opinion on this ongoing slaughter. Sorry about the rant – I'm not anti Jewish, but the antics of the Likud Government, Benjamin Netanyahu and the IDF simply makes my blood boil. The name Benjamin runs in our family, it was my late paternal grandfather's first name, late dad's first name, my second son's middle name and one of our grandson's first name – it hurts to hear that name associated with the PM of Israel.

Truly we live in a post truth world, and I share your disgust at the so-called civilized world. Choking on the hypocrisy of western governments, including our own, as well as the blood of innocents.
