          Now is the time to put McAnulty in. Give him plenty of time to put forward his own slant on policies.

            I would have thought so too, but I can't imagine Labour will do this. And tbf, I have no idea if KM is good leader or PM material. But I don't see Hipkins doing anything other than getting Labour a term, if we're lucky, and maintaining the depressing status quo. I could be wrong, there have been hints at new tax policy for instance.

      Shouldn't the question be: why is labour so underperforming in their role as main opposition party..?…

      The similarities between the Democrats in America .and labour here..are many..

      With hipkins as our Schumer..IMHO…

    Weird that the Maori Party didn't just select John Tamihere for the Tamaki Makaurau by-election. He would have been the standout candidate.

    Who is Labour putting up? Peeni or Jackson?

      Never could stand Tamihere since he moved house some years ago and left his cats behind. When he was a Labour MP, other electorates had to put his billboards up. We had staple guns. You could tell the ones I put up – they had two staples crosswise in each of his eyes.
