    Pedantic – perish the thought.

I actually gave up riding a bike around Auckland. Too dangerous when you live in the high traffic areas (ie almost everywhere). Motorists are really bad.

I cycle – my little corner of NZ is a bit quieter than Auckland. But I’ve taken to wearing one of those day glo yellow safety vests after two recent incidents with apparently blind drivers. So – Hello motorists! Please – watch out for bikes!

rOb: Apart from the editors and the spammers, that does appear to be the case. Everyone else is using the non-logged in mode. The user_id in comments is 0.

If anyone else was putting in comments while logged in, then they would have a mantle of grey authority as well.

So, OK – well – how odd!

“A mantle of grey authority” – love it – wish I could get one in the real world.

Anyway, in a spirit of socialist egalitarianism, I am happy to use non-logged in mode too if moderators prefer. I don’t want to be mistaken for any kind of authority here!

I wouldn’t bother. It has been puzzling a_y_b so I finally looked to see what it was. If we want to make the editors and admins look different, it’d be simple to do.

I’m just surpised that other people haven’t been logging in. The Dashboard to quite useful.
