Answer this question and get FREE movie tickets

The Labour Government is stuffing up. They can’t find the right words to describe John Key and the National Party. Because of that they are the architects of their own making with a clear sign that the electorate has become bored with Labour’s big words whilst not appreciating what National and John Key are all about.

So I’d like to offer Labour some succinct advice about getting clear and, at the same time, offering you the chance to win movie tickets.

So here goes; John Key and National are Acidulous, Anomic, Contumacious, Eristic, Excerebrose, Hebetudinous, Pertinacious, Philodoxical, Refractory, Saponaceous.

See, nice easy to understand terms, the kind of things highly intelligent Labour ministers will be able to use at the drop of the hat.

If you can give me a comment in the next seven days (to 12 noon NZ time, Friday 28 September) with the correct meaning of any of the above words, I will make 2 movie tickets available for each of the first 15 replies with a correct answer. So, after 15 correct replies, the movie tickets run out.

When you’ve given your comment, send me an email at spofin@gmail.com and ask me to send you movie tickets. You won’t get tickets if you’re too late or the answer is obviously wrong and no other correspondence will be entered into.

    Absolutely right Sonny. Pertinacious is dogged, stubbornly, unyielding. Two movie tickets can be yours because John Key is a loud mouthed and pertinacious ass.

  2. 3

    Excerebrose = Non-cerebral, Brainless.

    ie. A considerable component of the National party continues to indulge in the excerebose, (and pertinacious, it must be said) neoliberal stance of climate-change denial.

    Contumacious:
    Obstinately disobedient or rebellious.

    I think these ones are a bit better than ‘cancerous,’ for example!
