Your links show the pathetically small quantities of grid solar at the moment.

Completely off topic Grey, I loved your Robert Frost poem yesterday.

Not mentioned is the fact that for three and maybe four years there are no rail capable ferries, or the fact that if the contract hadn’t been cancelled two brand new rail capable ferries would just have been delivered. Peters telling lies by omission as …

In Ireland they now offer a grant of nz$3600 towards installing residential solar power and in the upcoming budget they will also offer a grant of nz$1200 towards a battery as pert of the solar system. Come on Labour. Votes in this.

Can you bribe someone not to report a sex attack you committed on them? I doubt that very much. In fact it is tantamount to admitting guilt.

When both the Berlin Wall fell and Mandela was set free in quick order I was really pissed off because there was nothing to demonstrate against.

I agree with the whole post except it doesn’t mention grid-scake solar. Texas, the oil state, has adopted grid-scake solar in style. So has Australia. NZ should follow suit, with grid-scale battery storage attached of course.

Fortunately the local government reorganisation FU is so obvious that voters will take note of it. The mayors around Godzone have been spitting tacks.

Compared with the CoC Ardern looks like a Marxist. She did fantastically well and is much maligned.

“Nationalise the power companies and roll out rooftop solar to every school, marae council/government building.” I like this gsays. France has just legislated that 40% of the roof of all new builds must be solar panels. Brilliant. To his credit Hipkins has …

Talking of rates of return on capital, apparently the four Australian owned banks make more profit in NZ than the entire 200 largest companies in NZ excluding the four banks. “In 2024, ANZ, ASB, BNZ and Westpac earned a combined profit of roughly $6.5 …

It’s an issue that has been well-debated in the MSM over many days….time to move on to other vote-rich issues. For instance Labour’s excellent foreign affairs policy released this morning which, among other things, accepts that genocide has occurred in …

Comment on Hager’s next book
This Tuesday Nicky Hager is releasing a new book. And there are some indications it may be about the role of astroturf organisations in Aotearoa and how they are funded.
-
Comment on Hager’s next book
Hager in his new book gets stuck into both the TU (especially Farrar and Williams) and the MSM (especially RadioNZ): “The most worrying aspect of having a lobby group in charge of the country’s political polling is that there is no transparency about who …

Comment on Hager’s next book
If Hager had revealed details of the text of his book to the “dirty work” people discussed in it, they would have prevented publication. That is how those people work.

The supermarket issue* is a diversion to stop discussion of the many terrible/extreme policies the CoC has implemented in the last three years. *the CoC has done nothing effective to increase supermarket competition.

Hipkins should can it and go back to the almost-ready-to-go Parker legislation, but like the CoC, he is in thrall to developers. Party Vote Green for a Left-Wing government.

Arkie-luckily we can choose to Party Vote Green. Lab 28 Gre 18 would almost certainly result in a government of the Left where the Greens could bargain hard for outcomes to the left of Labour.

A good performance by the Left in the weekend’s local elections in Germany that has largely been glossed over by the AfD obsessed media. In both Mecklenberg-Western Pomerania and Berlin the SPD, Left and Greens got enough votes to form solid majority …
